Most of my work is painting and I enjoy teaching people to paint and draw but I also enjoy introducing them to and challenging them with, the ideas surrounding contemporary and conceptual art. This task has become less of an uphill struggle in the years since I began my teaching career as we seem to be becoming a more ‘visually aware’ society. My work too has taken on a more conceptual edge as my most successful recent pieces have been ‘made’ not painted.
